Plots 95 and 96:

-Two ten-pole plots, 95 and 96, have recently become available due to the ill-health of the former tenant, Ann Holtom. As many tenants will know, Ann and her deceased partner Ken developed these two prize-winning plots over many years. The plots comprise raised beds, two greenhouses, fruit cage, large shed, pond and potting shed.

-Anyone wishing to be considered for these plots should send their details in writing to the Lettings Officer by 30 January ([email protected]).

-The Committee will be looking for a tenant who has a proven record of cultivation and who they feel will have the time and knowledge to take on the plots. They will judge applications on this basis and their decision will be final.

-The successful applicant will be expected to give up their existing plot or plots.

The CHAS Shop:

The Shop will be open on Sunday 10 and Sunday 17 June between 11.30 am and 1 pm. Thereafter it will be closed until early September, the date to be announced closer to the time.

If you need to purchase anything for your plots, including the last few tomato and other plants, please visit the shop over the coming two weekends.

Thames Water:

Thames Water have witten to the Society to inform us of improvement work they are carrying out in the area starting on 18 June for approximately eight months.

They may need to turn our water off as part of this renewal work. However, they will give us notice if this is necessary. As we are unsure how much notice we might be given, we ask that all tenants do their bit to check that the water tanks near their plots are always kept topped up and covered to reduce evaporation.

If anyone does notice any changes to water, or water going off unexpectedly, please e mail us at this address.

There may also be some traffic management in the area around Granville Rd Crewys road and Llanelly Road during this time.

A copy of the letter will be displayed on the site noticeboards.
